German coal mine with 7 shafts. The works for shaft 1 started around 1870 and already in the late 1870’s the first shaft, with a beautiful Malakow tower, was fully operational. Later on, the other shafts were added and the coal mine merged with other mines in the area. In its hay days, together with other mines, 22 shafts were operational. Zeche E was closed down in 2001.
