Photographic journeys in abandoned buildings.

Already in my childhood I was fascinated by the beauty of an abandoned pump station, swimming pool and malting plant in my neighbourhood; a fascination that grew during my teenage years, when my father taught me the secrets of photography and I began to experiment with his reflex camera. As the years passed by, this passion for the beauty of decay grew even further and I combined it with my interest in photography.
The history behind these abandoned and decayed places, the silence inside, the architecture, the altered impact of time on these sites, but also the adrenaline whilst entering them… The combination of all these factors drives me to explore and photograph what is hidden to the outside world.
