I-Beton Nord (Belgium)

With more than 20 plants across Belgium, this concrete producing group is one of the biggest in the country, producing more than 2,5 million m³ of concrete on a yearly basis. However, as times evolved, some concrete plants had to close, the ‘Nord’ one in a harbour-city close to the sea was one of them.

Speicherstadt (Germany)

The Speicherstadt was built as a ‘storehouse city’ around 1840, consisting of a dozen of storehouses close to the canal. Later on some of the storehouses were being used as slaughterhouse and mill, until the whole Speicherstadt area became abandoned.
